Radio
1976: SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation). The Ton Up Run: a radio drama written by Peter J. Hedge, and based on Blue Bell Hill's phantom hitchhiker. Originating from the Medway Towns, Peter had heard of the ghostly rumours but knew nothing at all about the details, and wrote the story when he lived in Teheran. In Peter’s tale the girl was pillion on her boyfriend's motorbike and was killed whilst he lived.
Peter had no idea at the time that the ghost was rumoured to be JL - a girl with whom he had shared a classroom at Balfour Road School for several years.
Television
1992: Television South (TVS) Coast to Coast (regional news programme) item ('Ghost?' - Ian Sharpe's encounter)), introduced by Mike Debens, and reported by Hugh Kirby. Broadcast 11 November.
