KENT BIG CAT RESEARCH IN A FLAP OVER THE TOY LEOPARD SNAP!

INVESTIGATORS REVEAL TRUTH BEHIND MISSING ‘BODY’ OF EVIDENCE!!

----------------------------------------

For a majority of the general public, a Sunday morning brings the possibility of a leisurely stroll in the countryside, or a drive in the car. What are the chances that during such an exercise, one of these people should stumble upon the dead body of a ‘big cat’?

Around Christmas 2003 such a body turned up, on a busy stretch of road in the South-East of England. A motorist spotted the corpse of a golden-coloured animal lying on a central reservation, but the only roar on this occasion was to come from the speeding traffic. The witness was startled, and for the next three weeks he would pass this spot, time and time again seeing the “…large cat with the brown rings on its fur.” Possibly a Serval.

Naturally, the cat carcass decomposed, heavy rain had darkened its fur, preying birds had scavenged its flesh, but it remained, unnoticed by the authorities (as always). However, a dumb reporter (as always) at a local newspaper, received a report regarding the corpse, and notified a so-called authority, who, like in all good covert, mystery fiction, paid a visit to the area (allegedly) , before KENT BIG CAT RESEARCH could search for and analyse the carcass.

Neil Arnold, founder of KBCR takes up the intriguing missing lynx (!) in the cat tail (pun)!

“Upon arriving at the spot, we searched the area with the key witness and discovered, surprise, surprise, a toy Leopard, no bigger than a domestic cat!” Mystery solved?  No!

He continued: “ There had most definitely been a body on the roadside, but someone had been sent out to clear it up, and had placed the ‘Leopard’ (Made In Taiwan!) to make it seem as though witnesses has wrongly identified a cuddly toy.” Surprisingly, there is a major difference between a three-foot long exotic cat, and a novelty felid, but those clandestine clean-up men obviously thought no-one would notice. But we did!
